The Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship (TiE) Club of University School of Management Studies was founded under the mentorship of Dr. Shilpa Jain to bridge classroom theory with real-world enterprise.
Mission Statement
Through interactive workshops, seminars, and hands-on projects, members enhance their technical acumen while mastering communication, teamwork, and execution.
The club serves as a premier networking avenue connecting university students with industry founders, venture professionals, and notable alumni across national ecosystems.
By cultivating a founder-first mindset, TiE Club USMS empowers students to convert bold ideas into viable startups, impactful products, and community solutions.

Dr. Shilpa Jain
Faculty Coordinator — TiE Club, USMS
Dr. Shilpa Jain is an Associate Professor at the University School of Management Studies and the Faculty Coordinator for the TiE — Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Club. She also contributes to International Affairs, Alumni Relations and the Executive MBA Programme at USMS, GGSIPU.
Under Dr. Jain's mentorship, TiE Club USMS has expanded into five dedicated wings conducting high-caliber hackathons, national founder conferences, gaming tournaments, and managing massive campus events.

Operations & ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning & Execution
Ensures every competition, tournament, and talk is well-structured, impactful, and seamlessly executed — managing blueprints, real-time logistics, and on-ground coordination.
- Design detailed operational blueprints and schedule run-sheets.
- Coordinate multi-wing volunteer tasks on ground.
- Monitor live event progress and swiftly resolve contingencies.
- Compile comprehensive debrief and attendance reports.
Insights & Intelligence
Drives research across emerging AI technologies, startups, and market shifts — exploring hands-on tools, test automation frameworks, and curating knowledge sessions.
- Research cutting-edge AI tools and generative tech workflows.
- Track early-stage venture funding and emerging startup models.
- Collaborate with technical teams on AI challenges like brAIn brawl.
- Maintain monthly technical briefs and project documentation.
Database
Maintains structured data pipelines for student registrations, event metrics, attendee analytics, and portal systems to ensure secure and seamless operations.
- Architect and maintain structured participant databases.
- Manage real-time check-in and QR verification systems.
- Ensure data privacy, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Deliver post-event analytics to faculty and leadership.
Public Relations & Sponsorship
Builds external partnerships, engages corporate sponsors (including Dell, Wendy's, Chinese Wok, Cafe Console), and strengthens university collaborations.
- Pitch and secure corporate sponsorships and brand associations.
- Maintain relations with guest speakers, founders, and dignitaries.
- Coordinate outreach across IPU colleges and student bodies.
- Elevate institutional visibility and media relations.
Social Media & Creativity
Creates engaging visual identity, promotional posters, event photography, trifold brochures, and video reels across Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Produce promotional brochures, flyers, and digital artwork.
- Capture photography and cinematic video reels during all events.
- Manage official social media handles (@tieclubusms).
- Drive online engagement, teasers, and post-event highlights.
